February Highlights

February was lots of fun.  We had our life group over for a fun Super Bowl party!

 Finally, a snow day!!!  I was hoping and praying for snow, and we got a teeny bit on a Sunday afternoon, completely out of the blue!  Josh was outside grilling steaks and came inside and said, "It's snowing!"  I didn't believe him at first, because 1) it wasn't in the forecast, and 2) he knew how badly I wanted snow, so I thought he was pulling my leg.  The kids were so excited and running around so fast that I couldn't get pictures.  I think we were extra excited about it this year after our unusually hot summer and barely-there winter.

Josh was off for President's Day, but James had school.  It was fun to get to spend time with just the three of us, since that is so rare!

Adventures with Ziggy!

 In James' class, each child gets to be "Student of the Week" for one week and take the class stuffed animal home for the weekend.  They are then supposed to fill out a notebook and write about what they did with Ziggy, the class stuffed zebra.  James was one of the last ones to get drawn for this and was so excited when it was finally his turn!  I'll never forget how sweet it was when I picked him up from school on that Friday, and the second the door opened, he said in the happiest voice I've ever heard, "I'm student of the week!!!!!  I am so happy!!!!!" with a huge grin that just stayed on his face.  We had so much fun showing Ziggy a good time all weekend.  James loved including Ziggy in everything we did and even slept with him.  Here are pictures from our weekend of fun!
