Success!

The stitching isn't perfect, but it works and I love it! It's nice to have my hands free, is amazingly supportive, and James is happy being up high and close to me. I had so much fun using my sewing machine for the first time and am thinking about taking a class and trying some more projects. Anyways, here's the finished product...

Good idea! I'll probably have to change the name, though, or I'd get in trouble.

You, James, & the wrap look great! Why didn't you post the other picture you sent me on here?
I'm so proud that our sewing abiilities have come so far since our "quilting class" at HU!
One day we just might get to finishing our quilts!
BTW- why does your comment date thing say we have commented on Dec. 8, 2006? Are we in the future?

Kim,
I should have put that on there...my Angelina wannabe look! The date has the day/month/year, so it says August 12th. I attribute much of my success this past weekend from that class! ;)

Obviously there is no 13th month-now I can see! Can I blame the date comment on my pregnancy brain, then?

And I just have to add that the first picture is seriously one of the best/prettiest pictures of you I have ever seen! Motherhood suits you well- you are GORGEOUS!

Suz, I'll be happy to! Sorry I missed you at church, we were on nursery duty. :( Glad you got to come over Friday, though!!

Kim, you can totally blame that on pregancy! I don't know if that really goes away either, especially since I'm getting up 3-4 times a night lately!

Thanks, Kim! That's funny, because I was hoping that noone would notice my messy hair in that pic!

Love the sling. You did a great job. It was so good talking to you the other day! You will have to tell me if it does help your back out.

Way cool! IS there a pattern or something? I got a machine for Christmas last year and have made curtains for our room and Liv's and added some trim to her dust ruffle but that is it. I have a nine month old but she only weighs 14 and a half pounds so maybe I could still use something like that!

I love it! Have you made any pajama pants? My first project with my machine was pajama pants for me and Ryan. Ryan's are Curious George and turned out pretty cute. Mine have palm trees, but the trees on one leg are right side up and the ones on the other leg are upside down. Oops!

Amanda,
It doesn't hurt at all. It's like carrying him on my hip, but with extra support. You can also lay them in there if they're tired.

Lisa,
My friend who told me how has a 21 month old who is very active and he does great in it. There is a pattern, and it's super easy. Google maya wrap instructions, and that will help you.

Audrey,
That sounds like something I'll do! I'm not sure what I'll do next, but pj's is a good idea!

Awesome... You look FAB and the Sling... I am so going to have to try that. I have the snuggly and well, that takes a true juggling act... Congrats... Yes it is blooming hot... If you want to get out, try going to the mall and walk around the mall. Shopping is theraptic and you get your exercise too.... TAKE CARE!!!

You did a great job! I never had sewed one thing until I took a sewing class at Frisco High School for a month...the rest was history. Go for it!
