Back in the Saddle
I am taking a break from working on school stuff to update my blog, because it's not the last week of summer anymore. Preparations are coming along nicely. I decided to rearrange my classroom and reorganize everything, so I'm excited about the changes. Another exciting change to this year that I discovered recently was that I only have 17 kids in my class! Last year we all had 21/22 kids, and those extra 4 or 5 kids makes a huge difference. That's one less table in the classroom! Every other grade level has 6 teachers, and we barely need 5. Other than getting ready for school, we've just been taking it easy and relaxing when we can. We did go see the movie March of the Penguins last night, and it was terrific!! I highly recommend it, but don't be expecting lots of action. It's a National Geographic movie that has filmed real penguins, and they are the most interesting non-human creatures in the world to me now. You'll have to go see! Well off to make my first week plans. Hope everyone's weekend was great!

Yea for you about the small class...that always helps to make it easier all around in your classroom. I will be sending good thoughts and prayers your way in the next week to come. Your class is already lucky to have you.
L,
I hope you have a wonderful week with the kiddos and hope you are doing well!!
