Papa Joe came to visit this past weekend, and we really had a wonderful time. I was glad for Josh and him to have some father/son bonding time as they fixed just about everything that was broken in and around our house. Not much going on this week. James has been sick, so we've stayed in most of the week, just takin' it easy. He seems to be getting out of it, so hopefully he'll be well enough to have his first spend-the-night-with-Uncle Michael-and-Aunt Jilinda trip this weekend! We are going to our family friend's wedding, so M and J agreed to watch him. It will be SO weird being gone from him for so long! We're going to stay with them, too, but it's a night wedding, so they're going to put him to bed. He's taking a bottle FINALLY pretty well, so that will help them out a lot. A few of weeks ago, when I put a bottle in his mouth, all he wanted to do was chew it, and when we fed him cereal, he constantly stuck out his tongue and made a mess. Well, last weekend, it was like he just figured out how to eat! He opened his mouth everytime there was a bite coming, and he swallowed every bite, hardly making a mess at all. A few days later, Josh decided to try the bottle again. He sucked it down like it was nothing! I tried it, too, and he drank it perfectly! Who knows why or how he learned that, but I'm glad it was not more of a stuggle than that. This week he has not done as well with the cereal, but I think it is from being sick. I think he's just not that hungry. Sorry, that was probably very boring to you non-mothers out there! :) Here is a picture of my sweetie pie with my favorite new shirt of his.
If you can't read it, it says "If you think I'm cute, you should see my daddy." Of course, he already has a drool stain running down the front...very typical these days! He's also wearing jeans (his cousins' old jeans) for the first time, so I think he looks extra cute his outfit!

He's gotten so big so fast. I like the shirt - especially with the drool!
absolutely adorable! LOVE the shirt! he is going to KILL those ladies with his blue eyes! good to talk to you today! love you, miss you.
James is soooo cute!!!! i love reading about him!!!
For some reason I remember Josh as being heavier during football so everytime I see a pic of him and how he looks now, I'm surprised at how good he looks! (Isn't nice to have our husbands healthy?!) James is SO cute in his jeans and t-shirt! I love jeans and overalls on little boys! Sorry to hear James has been sick but glad to hear that he's getting better and I hope you guys enjoy your wedding trip this weekend!
Love him! I think he may have learned how to take a bottle from watching Adalie!? I love his little jeans!
That's true, Kim!! I didn't think abut that. He must have been watching his love very closely and studying her. :)
Lindsey,
I forget, too, how different they looked! We recently watched the engagement video he made, and I couldn't believe how much he had changed. He was all beefed up from football and he had a much thicker Georgia accent. I kinda miss it! Josh sure does miss working out twice a day and eating whatever he wants!
Oh my goodness!!!! He is soooo sweet. Can you say daddy's twin? When I get my hands on him, I am hogging him and no one else in Georgia will get a turn.
L,
He is precious! Have you checked my blog....check it....
He is such a handsome little man...talking about James:) Sorry to hear about him being sick. I know how that goes. Thomas is getting over his 4th ear infection. It always seems to hit him when he is teething. How many teeth does James have now?
Amanda,
He has just two teeth still. We went to the doctor, and he said he had a virus that turned into a sinus infection. He's on antibiotics and is feeling much better!
Jo Anna,
That's fine by me, but you'll have to fight it out with everyone else. I love that picture of them, because they do look so much alike in it!
