Here are some videos of James from this weekend. In the first one, I'm trying to get him to do some of his tricks. I taught him some of the motions to itsy bitsy spider, and he recently started doing a couple of them. On the "down came the rain" part, he'll raise his hands up, and during "washed the spider out" he'll put his hands together and sometimes put them back out. I got so excited the first few times he'd do this and would clap for him. While I was filming this, he started clapping for himself during that part! Babies can be so funny! Don't you wish you could clap for yourself every once in a while?! :)
This next one is of him having fun in the swing yesterday. He is SO happy in his swing and loves the breeze in his face. I really think he laughs in a silly way to make us laugh. You might notice that he says "bwee!" a lot. That is his word of the week and he says it all day long. Last night we put him down at 6:45 and he slept until 8:00 this morning. Then we heard him talking to himself for about 30 minutes, saying "bwee" a lot. I would LOVE to get into his mind and figure out what he's saying!

Hey Lauren - the second video said it was "no longer available". The first was so cute! I can't believe how well he's talking!! (That was very good singing by the way!) :)
Lindsey, These videos sometimes take a while to process, and they always say no longer available until they do (doesn't make sense!). James doesn't always mimic that well, I just happened to catch a good one on camera!
absolutely PRECIOUS! and i LOVED your florence pics!!! good to see you sunday, promise we'll get together soon!!
That laugh is contagious! I am obsessed! I love the swing one! He is so smart, you should sing for those baby albums with songs on them, I miss sitting beside you in church singing....Chad doesn't have that beautiful soprano voice like you do!
The swing video is precious! Looks like James has a great playground and I agree with Amanda, his laugh is contagious! Chad and I pulled out old home video's last night and wound up watching them for about 2.5 hours - we couldn't get over how much Shepherd and James favor eachother! I had a few video's when Shep was James age during a meal time, I was feeding him baby food and both me and Chad were like "Omigoodness - that looks just like the video Lauren made of James the other day!" So weird! Neways, I was getting teary eyed watching them - Shep and Rauly have both changed SOOO much over the past few years - I say that to say this: VIDEO ALL THE TIME!! You can never have too many video's of your babies!!! :)
Oh sweet James! I love his laugh! I'm with Amanda-I think you should record children's lulabyes!
james & Adalie must be on the same sleeping schedule-wellalmost! She is sleeping so long these days, too! Thank goodness! Do you think it has anything to do with Daylight savings or just the age?
Amanda and Kim,
Y'all are funny, but sweet to say that! I was thinking I sounded SO cheesy!
Kim,
I think it is Daylight Savings! Before he was sleeping 7-7, but now it's like 6:45-8 or 8:30! I'm loving it! I actually went to sleep at 8 last night, too!
Lindsey,
I wish I could see that video! It's crazy how they really do favor eachother! I think especially in the eyes, maybe? I think that's going to rip my heart out looking at these videos in a couple of years!
I am playing catch up on your blog. I love all the adorable pictures of James. He is such a little doll! Also I am a little, well a lot jealous of your trip to Italy. How fun! It is on my list of places to go "someday". It is always good to get a little time away with the Hubby. Glad you both had such a wonderful time:)
