Elizabeth's Birthday Party and Yard Pics

I'm so excited about how much our front yard has come along in the past year!

Sunday was Elizabeth's 32nd birthday, and we celebrated at my parents' house. Here are a couple of pictures from the day.

This adorable outfit he is wearing (at the bottom) is from his sweet Auntie Kim!

Forgot to mention that at his 15 month check-up, he was in the 57th% for height and 79th for weight! That cracked me up! Last time he was 67th for height and weight! Looks like all he's done is put on weight! :) His head circ. was 77th%. He is officially in size 24 month clothes. He is still wearing 12-18 month clothes fine, but I got a few of 18 month outfits on sale and traded some of them for 24 months because they were borderline. So hard to believe!

One more thing...

Call me a proud aunt, but I had to put links to the tributes Elizabeth did about her 3 children. I told her to do them, since she's been a bit of a blog slacker lately! :)

Your yard looks beautiful! I love the big bunches of begonias (I think that is what they are...). It looks so full and summery!

Did you do all your own landscaping? The flowers are so full and very vibrant - isn't it fun to take pride in your own home and yard?! As for James...those two outfits are the cutest!! I have always said I thought boys outfits are adorable...I never do understand when I hear moms say that boys clothes aren't cute! As for your sis's blog...I read every tribute - very sweet - makes me want to do that for my own two!!

Thanks y'all! Lindsey, Josh did the begonias a week into April. The trick is to do it early, we've learned! The rest was done by a landscaper. I totally agree about boys outfits. I love dressing him in little babyish church outfits and I also love dressing him like a little college boy or a little man! I think girl clothes are fun and adorable too, but I'm totally with ya on that!

He is a sweetheart, I miss him. I feel like he has grown like crazy since the last time I saw him. I would love to have a visit. I like your blog about the things you love, that is one he will look back on and smile, or his future wife will appreciate. ME is way too cute! That is no suprise.

Yes, I love the 35 things your sister wrote about her kids. I read her blog as well and love hearing about all three. And, isn't ME just gorgeous? Her daddy better watch out when she's a teenager!!
Oh, and your yard looks BEAUTIFUL! It's been an uphill battle at our house to keep our plants alive! Your plants have all bloomed and grown so much!
That's funny about James' percentiles! He's all boy!

Kim,
That outfit will definitely fit him throughout the rest of the season. It's the perfect size!! I LOVE it!!

Amanda,
Girl, you know I want a visit. It's long overdue for Harry, Adalie, and James to get together! I never thought about his future wife loving that blog...I bet she will!

Page, Thanks! ME's daddy will have to watch out, but I think she will hold her own with her personality and her older brothers!

Amanda, I hear a lot that she looks like my mom and sister, but not too much me! She does look like James and James looks like me, so maybe it's all just a big family resemblance!

Ok, I'm super jealous of your yard! It's gorgeous! I hate planting things, but I love the end result. Your yard is just amazing! I would be showing that thing off like crazy! The new pics of the fam are sweet too. Hope you're doing well. Love, Shauri

Thanks, Shauri! It was one of the worst yards in the neighborhood a couple of years ago, and we just tried to go the most inexpensive route that still made an impact. The rain has helped a lot, too!

What kind of plant is behind the begonias? It looks kind of like a rose bush - is it?

I can't wait to do our yard, but I decided that it's a project for next summer. Ours is definitely one of the ugliest in the neighborhood!

And I'm with you and Lindsey - there are some really cute boy clothes - I'm excited for Samuel to be just a little bit bigger so he can actually wear some of his cute stuff. The 0-3s are still really big on him!
