Saturday night, my dad, mom, James, and I went out to a ranch and had such a fun time (Josh had somewhere to be that night). All of James' favorite things were out there: horses, cows, doggies, tractors, and space to run around and explore! James rode a horse for the first time (in my lap), and it was the sweetest thing how excited he got. He was giggling non-stop for the first few minutes on the horse. It was one of those moments that I will never forget. James also had a blast with his Deedah (my dad). I just melts my heart watching my parents with my little boy. Deedah showed James the tractor.
It was a BIG tractor, so James was a little timid when we got up to it, but he eventually warmed up to it and loved it. Halfway through the night, Bryon showed up with Matthew, Thomas, and Mary Beth (Elizabeth was out of town). We had a wonderful time and beautiful Fall weather to go with it!

I love James' cowboy outfit! He looked right at home on the ranch! How did you get your pictures to look so neat on your previous post? Those are awesome! Do you have a specific program for it?
Ok - I just read your previous post and I don't care if those kids weren't cooperating...you simply did not take a bad picture - those were all SO cute! I really can't get over how adorable your little boy is! And as for this post, how fun that you guys went to a ranch...what a perfect "rompin' ground" for a lil' boy!! You look so pretty Lauren - the one of you and James on the horse is just precious - I can almost hear his giggles through the computer screen!
How fun! James is all boy and I just love that little cowboy!! I wish I was there to see him on a horse and a tractor. looks like ya'll had fun!
What a wonderful day! How neat to have a place where James can be "all boy" and can tromp around in the dirt, ride horses and climb on tractors. I think that's every little boy's dream :)
I know your parents must love getting to spend time with all of their grandchildren. You have a beautiful family!
What a handsome cowboy! Do you know what song came to my mind when I saw these pics? "Mama's don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys...." But James makes such a cute cowboy, I'll bet it would be okay! :)

LOVED your fall pics!!! hey, impromptu blogger reunion next saturday??? joe is giving me a weekend away from the babies and i'll be in whacko from friday night to sunday afternoon. i need to be around people!!! ;) i'd love to get together with you and fellow whacko blogger buddies if possible...any way? only thing is, i totally don't have time to plan it!
