Hooray for weekends!

This has been kind of a crazy week! From Josh working late almost every night this week to me getting my dental implant put in yesterday, I'm glad it's the weekend! My dental implant surgery went very well. I scheduled it for Thursday morning, so James could go to MDO, and I could have a few hours to rest afterwards. I'm so glad I did that, because I needed it! The surgery wasn't bad at all. I opted for no general anesthesia, because I thought it didn't sound too bad, and it would cost less. I just had some laughing gas to keep me relaxed. That was a piece of cake! The hard part was right about the time I was to pick James up. I felt a lot of pain, took my pain meds, and then felt very nauseous and weak. Thankfully, Elizabeth took James for a while, and my mom and dad came over, so my mom could make me some good ol' mac n cheese. (Josh had an out of town appointment, so he wasn't able to be there.) Today has been a lot better. I still have felt weak, but Josh has spoiled me all day by bringing James and me breakfast, feeding James all his meals, putting him down for his nap, and taking him out to run errands so I could rest, etc.

This weekend is a little different than our normal routine. I went to the movies with Elizabeth, Bryon, and the kids (it was fun just being the aunt!) tonight, they dropped me off, and then Josh left to go to a late movie with Bryon! Tomorrow (Saturday), Josh, James, and I are going to head to Dallas and spend the day up there.

I have a couple of random things to add:

Someone asked me how Mother's Day Out was going. It is still going so well! I have an incredibly sweet and adorable class who I look forward to seeing every Tuesday and Thursday. They are very bright, which makes it even more fun to introduce things to them that I know are ahead of them in K, 1, and 2. I have a story about every day I come home from there to tell Josh. One of my most dramatic girls who is so so cute was praying before our meal. She said, "Dear Lord, thank you for God. We must not ever EVER talk to strangers, because they might take us away from our Mommies!! (saying all of this with the most dramatic tone you could imagine...she needs to be an actress) It would be SO SAD to not see our Mommy again, so...."and she went on a tangent for a couple of minutes, telling God about why we shouldn't talk to strangers. James also loves his class, which makes me enjoy it even more. His teacher said that he's the class greeter, telling everyone hi and bye. I love watching him walk by with his class, holding onto one of those ropes with handles, because he looks like such a big kid!

James said a friend's name for the first time! I was looking at my friend Amber's blog with James in my lap. I clicked on a picture with her son Kelton and two of Kelton's cousins. James got excited and started saying very excitedly, "Te Te! Te Te!" and pointing. I leaned him forward to see who he was pointing at, and he pointed directly to Kelton's face! It was so cute to see him get excited about his friend! It is just the start of a budding friendship!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Lauren - I'm glad to hear your surgery went well. What a shame that the meds made you nauseated - ugh...that's the worst! But at least you live close to family members who could help you and it sounds like Josh was a trooper and did a great job being the supportive hubby! I hope you feel back to your normal self!

Hopefully you won't have any more trips to the dentist for a while, right?

What movies did you guys see? Sadly, I have no idea what's even showing right now.

Audrey,
I saw Game Plan...cute family movie, and Josh saw Michael Clayton. I know what you mean. We just started getting back into movies this summer.

So good to hear your surgery went well. Isn't it nice to have such wonderful hubby's? Josh is a sweetie! I'm also glad that MDO is going so well. You know, I've never even thought about teaching at MDO. I may need to research this. What all do I need to know? When you get some time e-mail me because I would love to know more about it. shauridani@hotmail.com Hope you have a great week! Give sweet James lots of xoxoxox. :)
