Running to sit at the curb and watch for Daddy!
*I wanted make note of how much James has changed this summer. He is so much more grown up now than he was at the beginning of summer. We have noticed huge changes in his talking, his maturity, the way he plays at home and with others, and he has grown so much! He is now growing out of his size 8 shoes and as soon as I make it to the mall he'll be in size 9's. He is a lot taller and slimmer in the torso, too. Those thighs are still as cute and chunky as ever, though!
*This afternoon, I asked James what he did at church. He looked up and said, "uhh, singins, cheerios". It's fun to see what stands out the most to him. Then he got on the pretend phone and said, "He-yo, Susannah (his friend at church). Have fun church? Bye!". He is really into pretending right now and mimics Josh and me to the T. He says, "bye" on his pretend conversations the exact way I do, which is interesting to me to realize what I sound like through my two-year-old!
*I have thought about my niece, Hannah, during both pregnancies this day, because I am 23 weeks and 1 day, which is the exact day she and her brother, Jacob, came into the world during Jo Anna's pregnancy. Jacob died at birth and they weren't going to work on Hannah, since she came before viability, but she came out pink and crying! She is 11 years old now and as healthy and perfect as can be! What a miracle she was and is!
*Also, we are officially undecided now on our baby's name. We are having 2nd thoughts and are now wanting to think some more before we decide for sure!
*This weekend was Mary Beth's 4th birthday party. Here are some pictures from her swimming party.
My boys in their matching shirts. James was so excited to go to another birthday party. He is just now obsessed with birthday parties.
He couldn't have cared less at his own just a few
months ago! I cut up cornbread into squares this week, and he said,
"Oh! Birthday party!! Yea!!" because the cornbread was in the shape and the color of birthday cake.

How adorable is he!? Josiah has that exact same little Hawaiian shirt. I guess we have similar taste! There's no rush on the baby name. You still have a while before he arrives to settle on something :)
He is getting so big! He's a cutie!
Everytime I see a mom to be at 23 weeks I have a special feeling in my heart which makes Hannah even that much sweeter- what a sweet post- we are still praying for Baby John Doe! :)
Wow, James does look so much older in those pictures! I love the two year old stage. They are able to communicate so much better and are still so sweet. We recently are battling with Thomas on pretty much everything (napping, eating, potty training).
I'm so glad to hear about the good news from the doctor! So are you thinking about a totally different name or just between Jack Michael or John Jack. Whatever you decide it will be perfect. After I had Thomas and Charlie it took a few months for the names to roll off the tongue and really become them...does that make sense.
Love you and miss seeing you!
you stinker!!! i am glad i have not gotten "jack" anything with his name on it!!! are you thinking a cool name like Laban or Esau? I bet that's what it is, huh?
I'm so glad I found your blog. James is beautiful! And congrats on the next little boy. I understand the whole name decision. We didn't decide on Gracen's name until after she was born. Glad you guys are doing well. Hope to see you at Homecoming!
Nic,
Yes, the patriarch study just did it for me! It's between those and Melchezevick. :)
Amanda,
We've pretty much narrowed it down to Jack and William (Will). We are just sitting with those two for a little while before we decide for sure.
It's so fun to watch children grow - I'd prefer to see it happen in person but the blog is the next best thing! James is absolutely precious and I just love seeing him turning in to a little man...the pic of him waiting for Josh on the curb is too sweet! Can't wait to hear what name you both officially decide on - I know whatever you pick will be perfect for Satterfield #2!
Lauren,
I've been out of the blog circuit for awhile and just caught up on yours! I'm so glad to hear the CF test was negative-I know how stressful that wait can be! James is getting so big-it seems like after they turn two, they start to lose all the "baby" left in them! He's such a handsome little man!
