An Unwanted Visitor

I had quite the exciting morning this morning before work. Right after Josh left, I was greeted by an unwanted visitor...a snake...in my bedroom! I was standing in my bathroom and thought I saw something in the corner of my eye. I looked over, and a snake was staring right at me. I froze and it slithered quickly under the bed. Not knowing what to do, I called Josh (who has an EXTREME phobia of snakes) and asked him to come back. Now, those of you who know him at all, know that this was very hard for him, but I had morning duty at school and didn't have time to fool with it, so he came back to help me. With my sister's direction (she gardens a lot and has had to do this plenty), we coaxed it out from under the bed, Josh picked it up with a shovel, took it over to the tile, and chopped it in half! I was so proud of him!! Luckily it was just a garden snake, but now we're both scared to go to sleep tonight! Josh says he's even scared to come home today! The funny thing was afterward when he was vaccuming the dirt up, he was blocking the doorway, so I tapped him, and he just about had a heart attack! The look on his face was hilarious!! I posted a picture of the snake...no it's not huge, but a snake is a snake!

You know this happenned to me. One morning, when I woke up and first went into the bathroom, I did not see it and even stepped on it. I did not realize that I had done this until I returned for my shower. Needless to say, after 2 sticky boards, he was dead. Don't they know that they are not welcomed? Go little bro!!!

Amen! My husband just told me today that he saw a snake in the front yard. Needless to say, I freaked. He said, "Oh, it's just a garden snake." Like you said, a snake is a snake! And that one in your house looked HUGE to me. I'm glad your husband stepped up and killed it! One less snake in the world.

The funny things was, when you called, Bryon said, "Really? How big was it?" I had been expecting a call any day that one of my best friends was having a baby, so I jumped up and said, "I don't care how big it was, was it a girl or boy?"!

Unfortunately I have become quite the expert in killing garden snakes. Gross!!

My Dearest Lauren:

You are such an encouragement!!! You ask where I get my energy from but you already know the answer!!! When a brother can receive such encouragement from his sis, it makes his whole week and his workouts go much smoother. Thanks for your special touch!

Anything I can do to help Bry-Bry. You and Josh really are looking very buff! My co-teachers were laughing about you last night at heb and wondered where Elizabeth found a guy like you, but I realize now that all along it was the energy you received from being in my presence. I get that a lot!
